Perched on a rocky overhang overlooking the Rimarde valley, Yèvre Le Châtel reveals its treasures as you stroll.

You will admire the medieval fortress with its towers, its ramparts, its castellum and its walkway, built under Philippe at the beginning of the 13th century. It was one of the only fortifications, with Montargis, to resist the English during the Hundred Years’ War.

Below, the village is all old stones and flowery streets with its beautiful limestone residences, its 12th century Romanesque Saint-Gault church and the remains of the 13th century Saint-Lubin church.

In summer, the village goes back in time to rediscover its glorious past with its medieval festivals.
